About My Happy Place

A quiet beauty editorial about skin habits, self-care and feeling at home in your routine.

My Happy Place is a small independent publication covering everyday beauty habits — SPF, cleansing, sleep, and the soft edges of self-care. We started it because most writing in this area is either trying to sell you something loudly or trying to make you feel behind.

How we work

We prefer plain language. Where a page is a paid placement, we label it Advertorial. Where the honest answer is "it depends on your skin and your clinician," we say that.

We do not publish dramatic before-and-after claims on editorial pages, and we do not present individual stories as typical results.

How we are funded

Two ways, and both are disclosed.

Some pages on this site are paid placements. Those pages carry the word Advertorial at the very top. An advertiser has paid for that placement.

We also earn affiliate commission on some outbound links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may receive a share of the sale at no extra cost to you.

One current advertorial placement lives at /7-reasons/ and is labelled accordingly on that page.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you are pregnant or nursing, manage a skin condition, or take prescription medication, talk to a clinician before changing skincare or wellness products.
