SPF Basics Without the Overwhelm
A calm primer on everyday sun protection — no scare tactics, no ten-step list.
Sun protection does not have to be a personality. For most days, a broad-spectrum SPF you will actually wear beats a perfect formula that stays in the drawer.
Keep the bar low and repeatable
Pick one daytime moisturizer or sunscreen you like the feel of. Apply it after cleansing, before makeup if you wear any. Reapply when you are outdoors for longer stretches — especially driving, walking, or sitting near bright windows.
What "broad spectrum" is pointing at
Labels that say broad spectrum are aiming to cover both UVB and UVA ranges. You do not need to memorize wavelengths; you do need a product you will use on ordinary mornings.
Makeup and texture
If a thick cream feels heavy, try a lighter lotion or a tinted option. The "best" SPF is the one that fits your texture preferences so it becomes automatic.
