Sleep and Skin: Small Night Habits That Feel Kind

Pillowcases, screens, and the quiet link between rest and how your skin feels in the morning.

Skin care products cannot outpace a week of bad sleep. That does not mean you need a perfect bedtime — it means a few kind defaults help more than a dramatic reset.

Clean face, then lights down

A simple evening cleanse and moisturizer before you scroll (or instead of one more episode) is often enough. Keep the routine short so it survives late nights.

Pillowcases and friction

Fresh pillowcases feel nicer and reduce overnight friction. Silk or satin is optional; clean cotton on a regular wash cycle already helps.

Expectations

Morning puffiness and dullness often track with sleep, salt, and stress as much as with any cream. Give yourself the same patience you would give a friend.

This is general lifestyle information, not medical advice. Ongoing sleep trouble is worth discussing with a clinician.
